RVA’s client, Select Medical Group, recognized the need to expand their Garden Oaks, Texas, Physical Therapy location to accommodate an influx of new patients. When the adjacent space became available, the timing was perfect. With its open floor plan and location in a large retail area in the growing Houston market, this new property provided the ideal space to expand the clinic and allow patients to recuperate and fully participate in life again.

As both the architect and construction manager on this project, our experience with this long-standing client allowed us to understand the drive needed and implement a time-sensitive action plan that included demolition, new lighting, new finishes, relocation of wall mirrors, and modifications to the HVAC system.
To foster that collaborative environment, we worked with the client, their real estate team, and the location manager to update the space’s look to match the brand and ensure the new space fits the current layout needs.
By managing the build process and the design, our team ensured that the project ran on time and within budget. We also focused on the small details, such as selecting and installing new blinds that matched the company’s color palette.
