The Challenge

As part of a strategic expansion, BaylorScott & White Rehabilitation sought to establish a new clinic in Sachse, TX, one of the fastest-growing suburbs in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. The clinic needed to serve an increasing patient volume while differentiating from an existing nearby location. It also had to meet ambitious operational goals, with the flexibility to scale for future growth.

The clinic is situated in the Union Station development, near the George Bush Turnpike, with new housing, family practices, and orthopedic providers growing around it. The project team had to account for numerous client needs, all while delivering a facility that meets the standards of a sports clinic.

Since 2011, RVA has collaborated with Baylor Scott & White to expand clinics across Texas, which have included one in Richardson-Dallas, TX.

The Result

RVA designed an outpatient rehabilitation clinic tailored to the needs of high-performance physical therapy and sports recovery. The space includes a hybrid gym area with rubber flooring and integrated turf, framed by netting that supports overhead athlete training while maintaining visual openness. Evaluation rooms use darker carpeting for acoustic control and privacy, while the waiting and staff areas incorporate durable porcelain tile and VCT finishes for easy maintenance.

Natural light filters through shaded windows outfitted with gray solar shades, creating a comfortable and energy-efficient environment. Carefully selected finishes, including Corian countertops, stainless steel surfaces, and a mix of carpet and tile, strike a balance between cleanliness, durability, and brand consistency throughout the facility.
